"I’m sharing my terrible personal experience as a customer of this agency for almost two years. My recent renewal process was extremely frustrating and disappointing. My auto insurance premium increased from approximately $223 to over $430 per month, and I only became aware of this change by opening the app. The renewal notice was mailed to an address I had moved out of more than two years ago, even though my address had been updated and I had previously received multiple letters and emails from State Farm at my correct addresses. Because the renewal was sent to the wrong address, I had no reasonable time to review, confirm, or question the renewal before the increase took effect. I discovered this on February 3, with the renewal scheduled for February 20, leaving me in a rush and under pressure to fix a situation I did not create. When I contacted the agency, I was told the increase was due to mileage and that I had received a ticket in December that resulted in a one-point DMV violation. This statement raised serious concern. I immediately checked my DMV records for both my license and my vehicle, and nothing showed that would explain the “ticket” or point being referenced. To be transparent: in my entire driving history, I had one accident for the first time in my life. I have never had a pattern of accidents or violations. Even at the time I checked my DMV records, the accident was not yet reflected, and there was no indication of any ticket or traffic citation. Despite this, the agency maintained the position that the increase was valid, without clearly explaining what the ticket was, where it came from, or how it justified such a large jump in cost. Mileage was another major issue. This past year was not normal for me. I had to travel frequently to Los Angeles for several months due to an exceptional documentation situation. This was temporary and resolved. Even so, the renewal was calculated as if I will continue driving 26,000+ miles per year, even though my actual odometer is around 23,000 miles and my driving has dropped significantly since then. Throughout the entire process, the communication felt rigid and one-sided. There was no effort to review the context, explain the inconsistencies clearly, or help find a reasonable solution. Instead, the increase was simply imposed, leaving me to deal with the consequences. This experience made me feel that long-term customers are not valued and that concerns are dismissed rather than addressed. Based on how this renewal was handled, I do not recommend this agency. If anyone would like more context, I can share screenshots of emails and supporting documents."
